nikos ioakeim was born in Athens. When he was fourteen years old he wrote a novel, which his parents did not like. He unsuccessfully attempted to become an actor by playing walk-on parts of a deacon or a mobster in experimental (& non-experimental) movies. Instead of making his name as a rock-star, rumor has it that he studied Musicology, and since he’s suspected of Hebrew origin, he began elaborating a doctoral thesis on Aaron Copland who used to carry the Holy Trinity pick-a-back being a Jew, homosexual and left-wing sympathizer.

In 2004 he immigrated into the Netherlands, where he began consorting with the Dutch proletariat by working in factories. His ambition to study composition was fulfilled when, after having been rejected by quite a few conservatories for “lack of artistic quality” or for being “already an established and prolific composer” among other excuses, he was admitted to the Conservatory of Rotterdam in September 2005. For the following 4 years, he enjoyed the privilege of meeting Klaas de Vries once a week; thanks to the latter he also went to Ghent (Belgium) via the Erasmus program in Autumn 2008, in order to study under the space oddity that bears the name of Frank Nuyts…

2009

nikos ioakeim is left-handed, (literally) short-sighted, he has had all four wisdom teeth removed, has undergone appendectomy and frenulectomy and has suffered two acute renal colics. He displays a pallid complexion because of hereditary, inoffensive hyperbilirubinemia. He has got two exostoses, one next to each pinky toe (which he likes to call his sixth toes).

He is a notorious bookworm and this has put him in danger of being affected by keratoconus. He has once presented himself with algic scoliosis due to pulmonary effusion. He has incidentally been diagnosed with a congenitally rotated heart in fear of late-life misinterpretations.

Latest news: a sizeable cystic nodule has been discovered on his left thyroid gland!

He is a night-bird, a sugar-addict and a vegetarian. He quit smoking on August the 15^th, 2012 (though not in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary) after being an amateur for fifteen years.

For the rest, he’s doing just fine.
